Kenya Mission Trip Fundraising Updates
Hillery, Tony's Wife, is going on a medical mission trip to Kenya in February 2011 !! Hillery will be going with Fox River Christian Church, the AWESOME church we have been attending which has a very active mission program in Kenya. For more information on the trip, check these out: For Hillery, this is a real, profound beginning of fulfillment of a vocational calling that she has carried her entire life, to glorfy God through personally helping impoverished people all over the world, and now Hillery needs YOUR help! Of course your thoughts and prayers are wonderful and always welcome, but Hillery also wanted to create an opportunity for a lot of people to play a little extra part in her journey if they felt moved to do so. Since we do not have the money to personally fund the trip outright, we are looking for 150 people to give just 20 dollars each to help Hillery get to Kenya. The total fundraising goal is $ 3000 which is the total cost of the trip, including all expenses. If we should happen to raise more than that, we will donate it to the same cause, helping others going on the same trip, or helping the people in Kenya ! As of October 10, 2010 we have 9 people who have pledged $ 20 each for a total of $ 180. This leaves $ 2820 left to go, or 141 more people giving $ 20 each. We are at 6% of the total goal.
